Big Dreams

The Lavender and Honeycomb Co LLC is a small rural farm start up located in Converse, Indiana. We began this as a husband-and-wife team looking to enjoy our children and animals.  Along the way we began researching opportunities to make ourselves more self sufficient, produce organic foods, and develop natural products. We began with Indian Runner Ducks due to the nutritional value of duck eggs, their higher productivity and personality. We then added two bee hives for honey production, and benefit to local plants. This was followed by our rabbitry with the desire to eventually utilize the wool for spinning and products such as mittens and hats. We continue to look for ways to utilize all resources available from our animals down to the natural federalizers for gardens. We would now like to expand into our community and grow opportunities for others looking for more natural and organic products to find them locally through social media resources and farmers markets. Our future plans include conservation programs for chickens  and sheep. We are also working towards alpacas and goats for fiber.
